Qualla Barcelona: Catalan Artisan Cheese Fair
We are very excited to inform you that the QuallaBarcelona fair will finally take place on March 5 and 6, 2022 at the Estació del Nord in Barcelona.
The new edition changes its name and goes from being called ExpoCheese to “ Qualla Barcelona, Catalan Artisan Cheese Fair” incorporating @acrefa.cat in the organization and with a program of activities and tastings around the artisan cheese world.

What is it
A fair for direct sales, tasting and promotion of Catalan cheeses by the producers with three clear objectives:
- To make the work of the producers of our country known and prestige it.
- Bringing Catalan producers and their products closer to tourism in the city of Barcelona.
- Offer quality cheese at an event designed for all audiences outside the rural setting.
It will take place in the lobby of the building of the old station of the North of Barcelona. Its location, two minutes from the metro station and Rodalies Renfe “Arc de Triomf”, is located 5 minutes from Plaça Catalunya. In the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample District, next to the Arc de Triomf / Passeig Sant Joan, in the El Fort Pienc district. The space is an open rectangle of 622m2 with a large outdoor access zone.
We have scheduled it on March 5 and 6, 2022 in its face-to-face version and from February 24 to March 8, 2022 in its virtual version at firesvirtuals.cat.
We will have a space to purchase a representation of five cheeses from the Fair that will vary over the weekend. You can also complement the dish with DO Penedès products.
We have scheduled several cheese content activities with talks, demonstrations and tastings.
During the days before the Show, you can enter the virtual version to buy cheeses directly from the cheese manufacturers.
Live cooking sessions, cheese-making debates, demonstrations and tastings are scheduled throughout the weekend.
